On Thursday, 24th February 2022, from 19.00 - 21.30
By kind permission of Sir Bernard de Hoghton Bt
CANCELLED - sadly it has been decided to cancel this event, as the number of applications for tickets has been very disappointing, most likely due to concerns about the highly transmissible Omicron variety of Covid. All monies received from the sale of tickets or the raffle will be returned as soon as possible. Fund raising nevertheless remains a high priority, be it in the Iberian Peninsula or in the UK.
A fundraising reception will be held at Brooks's Club, St James's Street, London, which was founded in 1762 and built in 1777 by William Brooks at his own expense in a Palladian style. The interiors are in neo-classical style and the main historic attraction of Brooks’s was its gambling rooms, where fortunes were made and lost.

On arrival, guests will be served drinks in the Spencer Room. At 19:15 we move into the Great Subscription Room, where Brigadier Justin Maciejewski DSO MBE, the Director General of the National Army Museum, will give a talk. A military historian, Brigadier Justin has had a distinguished military career, winning the DSO in Iraq. After 27 years in the Army, he spent five years with McKinsey & Company as a management consultant. Following the talk, more drinks and canapés will be served in the Spencer Room and the raffle will be drawn at 21.00. The Reception will end at 21.30.
